Stigma Sosial terhadap Ibu Rumah Tangga Penyalahguna Narkoba di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Tanjung Gusta Medan

Abstract

Drug abuse has become a serious problem. Having penetrated social, cultural, ethnic and gender boundaries. Housewives who are the main bastion of defense for the family have become due to the abuse of drugs. The husband who was supposed to be the guide and guardian of the family turned out to be the cause of the destruction of a family. Social stigma arises in society as a result of the inconsistent interaction between individuals and society. The research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach that is trying to give an idea about the phenomenon of housewife who experience social stigma as result of drug abuse. The informants of this research are 11 people, 5 main informants (housewife), 5 additional informants (parents or family of main informant) and a head of section of education and prison education of women class II A tanjung Gusta Medan. The findings obtained in research This is that housewives who experience social stigma have good internal stigma so that they are always ready to face the stigma of society.
