Abstract

Research on the effect of rising tuition policy on the quality of education at the faculty of social sciences and political science in the background backs by low education quality improvement of physical and non physical. As a result of this policy occurs cons of many students of the university as it is considered extremely burdensome students and close the small communities access to education to study at college bench. Problem you want removed is "To what extent is the tuition increase policy influence on the quality of education at the faculty of social sciences and political science, university northern Sumatra". This study aims to determine whether or not the effect of these policies and also to determine the extent of the effect of the policy on the quality of education at the faculty of social sciences and political science, University of North Sumatra. Where the quality of education in the mean quality of physical education and the quality of education in non physical. The research was conducted at the faculty of social sciences and political science, University of North Sumatra with a sample size of 73 students. Techniques of data collection was conducted by questionnaire to students stambuk 2010, which became the object of tuition increases. The data obtained were tabulated into a table and process the data further analyzed quantitatively through regression test analysis. Based on the data obtained have been analyzed and concluded that the tuition increase policy influence on the quality of education at the faculty of social sciences and political science, university northern Sumatra is to have a low positive relationship with the correlation (rxy) of 0.083. And regression tests that every increase of 1 unit, then the effect of increase in tuition policy will increase by 0.036 units and the coefficient of determination of 0.68%.
