Faktor Dominan Anak Putus Sekolah di Kelurahan Sipolha Horisan Kecamatan Pematang Sidamanik Kabupaten Simalungun

Abstract

Education is part of the basic rights of children that must be met. Dropping out of school is a social problem where non-fulfillment of the rights of the child to get a decent education. Children out of school is a lot happening in some circles both in cities and villages. As in the village Sipolha Horisan subdistrict Pematang Sidamanik Simalungun Regency. The children out of school is influenced by varios factors that encourage them to decide to drop out of school. The study was conducted in the village Sipolha Horisan subdistrict Pematang Sidamanik Simalungun Regency. This study is deskriptive, where key informants in this study were children aged 10 to 18 years who have dropped out of school is 5 person and additional informants in thos study is the parents who have children who drop out of school is 1 person. Data collectoin to the study of literature, field studies are in-depth interviews, ducumentation. The data obtained in the field and then analyzed by researchers who described qualitatively, so that in the end it can be concluded from these findings. The result showed that the dominant factor in the children out of school in the village Sipolha Horisan subdistrict Pematang Sidamanik Simalungun Regency caused by a lack of interest in school children/desire itself and not only that there are other factors that cause children to drop out of school as family economic factors, attention parents, number of siblings, environmental factors such as peer influence society, and child factors work.
