Health Care Insurance Program (JPK) is a form of protection, maintenance,
and enhancement of the welfare of workers and their families. The presence of
Health Care Insurance (JPK), automated every workers can be more productive in
their work and their family can be calm and more prosperous. In accordance with the
provisions stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower No.: PER-01 /
MEN / 1998, the company can provide health services with a better benefit from the
basic package from Health Care Insurance (JPK) of Manpower Social Security in
order to provide the best health facilities for workers.
This research is classified as the type of descriptive research that aims to
describe the implementation of independent health care insurance program
conducted at PT Indofood CBP (Branded Consumer Products) Sukses Makmur Tbk
(Open) Branch Medan. The sample in this research are 74 workers / employees. The
sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling technique. To
obtain the necessary data, this research uses technique of collecting data such as
questionnaires and literature study. Meanwhile the techniques of data analysis in this
research uses descriptive statistics.
The results of data analysis concludes that all employees are know of and
understand the independent health care insurance program which include: outpatient
assistance program, inpatient assistance programs, glasses purchase assistance
program for employees who are required by ophthalmologists to use, periodic health
examination program which held once a year, and provision of company polyclinics
for emergency purposes which can be used by employees and families who live
around the company. This program is considered to be a very beneficial for
employees and greatly assist employees in obtaining health insurance. Program
evaluation seen from the aspect input, process, output, and impact of the program.
The planning, socializing, and implementation stage has been running well, but the
cost of changing the claim is still considered to requires a long process.
