Natural disasters of any nature is unavoidable and can occur at any time.
Disasters also result in very high losses both infrastructure damage, access to
information and communication, until the fall deaths. One of those most in need of
special protection during a disaster is a child. Basic needs are not being met, home
damage resulting displaced children, psychological disorders, prolonged sadness,
unhealthy environment can affect a child's development. In fact, the child is entitled
to protection from hazardous environments. To see that things, KKSP as one of the
non-governmental organizations in the field of information and the right of children
to participate providing social services of children who have a difficult time
including Mount Sinabung disaster victims. This study aims to determine the extent
to which the effectiveness of social service programs children affected by the
foundation of Urban Social Working Group in the Village Kutambelin Namanteran
District of Karo.
This type of research is classified as a type of descriptive research that aims
to illustrate the effectiveness of the child social services programs. The samples in this
study were 34 children victims in the village Kutambelin Namanteran District of
Karo. While the techniques of data analysis in this study using the table and
described quantitatively using a Likert scale. Conclusions obtained through analysis
of the data that the effectiveness of social service programs children affected by the
Foundation for Urban Social Working Group in the Village District of Namanteran
Kutambelin Namanteran Karo Regency is Neutral.
The result of the calculation is said to be neutral from a few measurements
have been carried out on the understanding that the program as much as 4.13, 2.78 of
total target accuracy, timeliness as much as 1.36, the achievement of goals as much
as 4.21, and a real change in the average foster children better change.
