Karakteristik Pengunjung Rekreasi dan Obyek Wisata di Taman Hutan Raya Dr Mohammad Hatta, Padang, Provinsi Sumatera Barat

Abstract

The aims of the study were to identify domestic visitors characteristics, to identify resort characteristics and to identify visitors views about resort at Great Park Forest of Dr. Mohammad Hatta, Padang City, West Sumatera. The study was conducted at Great Park Forest of Dr. Mohammad Hatta, Padang City, West Sumatera Province since 2004 May 15 [st until 31 st. Obiect of the study was visitors who people come to Great Park Forest of Dr. Mohammad Hatta, Padang City, West Sumatera. Primary data was obtained with distribute questionnaire to respondents, interview and observation direct in the field. Sampling derivation was done purposive sampling. Data derivation was done at 09.00-15.00 o'clock as long as 7 days (Monday-Sunday). Domestic visitors characteristics, resort and visitor views about resort was analyzed descriptive and was worked in percentage and table forms. Connection between visitors characteristics with demand of recreation was tested Chi-Square test, visitors views about resort used Likert Scale and aspects received opinion was bigger than other aspects from visitors views about resort at Great Park Forest of Dr. Mohammad Hatta used Friedman test. Recreation visitors characteristics at Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta shown that the most dominant visitors characteristics, male, ages 18-25 years, academy/college graduated and their vacation as students, income < R. 500.000,00, expenditure > Rp. 100.000,00/visit, assuming rate of entrance fee at the place is moderate, coming from Padang and its surroundings, and after-work leisure time at 5-7 hours have, 5-8 days in one month days off, and 0-12 days for holiday leisure time. The most of visitors were generally have motivation to enjoy panorama, and also prefer activity enjoy panorama during at Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta. Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta was natural protected area with large about 240 ha, light surging topography (5-15 %), rather steep (15-30 %) until precipitous and hilly (30-70 %), altitude at 300-700 asl m and fresh and cold climate had, and also interesting nature were consist of mountain, dales, rivers, view scenic and flora and fauna diversity of West Sumatera. Opinion of visitors that resort in Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta was easy to reached with good road condition, while panorama around Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta was beautiful. Environmental security around Tahura was pertained safety, They feel interested with this resort. Knowledge of respondents about Tahura Dr. Mohammad Hatta as natural protected area and the rules were good, respondents general never done vandalism of flora/fauna and saw people done vandalism of flora/fauna in Tahura. Services, explainations and informations from the guide were good, condition of the facilities in Tahura was complete. The most of respondents were opinion that existence of the facilities need to addition.
