dc.description.abstract | To see the existing reality in Indonesia at the moment, the presence of children
thus much distressed by the development process of the problem ignores the interests and
rights of the child. On the other hand, social condition, the versatile underestimined
political in this country were aggravating the deteriotation of good parenting patterns at
the level of families and the community. As a consequence, it appears children who did
not obtain an education that is maximum. One of the social problmes which became a
major challenge to the people of Indonesia are the problem children in relation to
education. The issue of motivation of parents especially in North Sumatera to education is
still low, hopes parents of children of school age to work is also very high, dropout rates
annually still occurs for reason related to the cost of an expensive education and children
are getting lazy in school. In order to respond to this problem, the early stages of the
foundation the Yayasan Fondasi Hidup Indonesia develop activities through a program
called Kids Club. That is a program focusing on the development of education an
extracurricular in children.
This research is descriptive research. The population in this study are the
parents of children who practice in Kids Club as many as 15 people. Data analysis
techniques using a single table are described in qualitative and quantitative analysis using
the Likert Scale to gauge the perceptions, attitudes, and the participation of the parents of
the Kids Club Program.
Based on the data analysis concluded that the response of parents against Kids
Club Program in the Desa Baru Pancur Batu Sub District New Deli Serdang district gets a
neutral value scale likert response 0,28. Based on the respondent’s perception of the
indicators as much as 0,24. The attitude of the respondent as much as 0,45. The
participation of the respondent as much as 0,15. Kids Club Program is expected to be
continued and further enhanced again, either in the execution or socialization, so that
parents can better participate and better understand the purpose, as well as a Kids Club
Program can benefit and positive impact and can feel benefits and positive impact that is
better for the child’s education. | en_US |
