dc.description.abstract | The remoteness makes some communities in Indonesia until now there are
living a life very poor they are often called traditional remote community. They
inhabit the places that are geographically relatively inaccessible. Remoteness
makes them very limited in access to basic social services, the economy, politics,
education, health. Children in traditional remote community must have the same
rights as other children, namely the right to receive basic education. Constitution
of the Republic Indonesia Year 1945 Article 31, paragraph 1 states that every
citizen is entitled to education. Fulfillment of basic education rights of children
seen from the implementation of the 9-year compulsory education, the availability
of school facilities and infrastructure, the availability of teachers and school
operating costs. Through a Empowerment Program for Traditional Remote
Community is expected to bring a good change in education, because eventually
the child will become the next generation.
This research study was held in the village of Sionom Hudon Selatan subdistrict
Parlilitan Regency Humbang Hasundutan as one of the location of
Empowerment Program for Traditional Remote Community which taken by
Agency of Social Welfare Province of North Sumatera coordinated with such
local Regional Government and related agencies. Research study using descriptive
method with qualitative approach. To obtain necessary data, this research study
using data collection technique and field study which consists of questionnaire,
interview and observation.
Based on the result has been done, can known that correlation
Empowerment Program for Traditional Remote Community with fulfillment of
basic education rights of children are low correlation. That is evidently based of
calculation correlation product moment, can known correlation x and correaltion y
with N= 20 obtainable value 0,291. That is show low correlation, based
Guifordargument which correlation scale 0,20- 0,399 is low correlation. Low
correlation caused the availability of school facilities and infrastructure factor and
the availability of teachers not enough for comply basic education rights of
children in the vilage of Meranti Barat. | en_US |
