Faktor-Faktor yang Menyebabkan Anak menjadi Pekerja Seks Komersial di Kota Medan

Abstract

Nowdays, many children both boy and girl who somehow become commercial sex workers. They earn (like adults) for their hard work in the form of money or goods. Often children can already bear the thought of living alone and ignore the rights of the child. Adults who assume that the child is an adult. Although in some cases even fellow children who become perpetrators. But no one can ascertain what factors cause children to become commercial sex workers. Is the environment also play an active role, they cause children to become a commercial sex worker. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative approach, namely to describe the data obtained from the field and then analyze it with words. This study aims to look at the factors that cause children to become commercial sex workers in the city of Medan. Data collected by field observation and in-depth interviews. The data obtained and in Narrate qualitatively by holding categorization and analyze it. Based on the data that has been collected and analyzed, it can be concluded that the factors that cause children to become commercial sex workers in the city of Medan categorized on two factors, namely internal factors (originating from within the child) and external factors (derived from outside child). The dominant factors that cause children to become commercial sex workers in the city of Medan is lifestyle factors and the influence of peers.
