Rubber seed is one of the underutilized products of rubber seed plantations. The vegetable oil content in rubber seeds is 45.63% and has the potential to be used as raw material for food oil. The shell on the rubber seed has a hard construction, which can be used as biobriquettes. This study aims to design a device for crushing and separating the rubber seed core from the rubber seed shell (Hevea brasiliensis) with a mechanical system. This tool uses a single roller crusher as a rubber seed breaker and at the output there is a static sieve to separate the rubber seed shell and the rubber seed core. The dimensions of this tool are 1310 mm × 500 mm × 600 mm. The results showed the effective capacity of the tool was 46.998%, with the percentage of seeds lagging behind 17%. The yield of rubber seed core is 31.17%, the yield of rubber seed shell is 67% with losses of 1.84%. The electrical power consumption of the rubber seed crusher is 7.43 kWh. The value of the break event point in this tool will be achieved by grinding rubber seeds as much as 16.555,756 kg/year. This tool is profitable to produce because it has an NPV value > 0, namely at a 6% interest rate of IDR 24.991.463,32/year and a trial interest rate of IDR 21.921.825,362/year. This tool has an internal rate of return (IRR) of 42,468%.
