    Abstract
    As with other cities in Indonesia, and also can not be separated from social problems are quite complex. One of the social problems which until now has not resolved it was poverty. Conditions of family poverty and low parental income as a breadwinner for the family resulted in children should contributing for helping the economy of the family .. The results showed that children who carried out the work in this study a wide variety job from working on the streets and work in the informal sector. Children who work here are that divide their time between work and school and some who have decided not study in the school again just works. children who work aged 14 to 16 years, they have to work after school and dividing the time for work and school. children who are not in school longer work on the streets from morning to evening Based on interviews conducted, children contribute in terms of food, income, housing and education. In terms of food the children who strive to meet the economic needs of their families by contributing in terms of staple foods like rice. In terms of revenue contribution son gave most of his salary to his parents in order to support their families. Most children who are still renting the house contribute in terms of paying the rent and other housing needs like paying electricity and water each month. For educational conditions, children who work and study in the school was never again asked for money in terms of the cost of education to parents.
