dc.description.abstractThis research describes nepotism village chief in the public service. Nepotism is basically a series of human political strategy which aims to gain power so that these powers remain in that site with how to bequeath the powers that already belonged to another person who has family relationship/relatives close to the holders of power. With the nepotism then actions will be based on relatives and not based on ability. At present this is already a public secret that most of the Government apparatus have roots linkages leading to nepotism. While the public service is a term that is used to provide a service to the community what it needs. Government agencies have a duty to do the service of the public. But along with rampant nepotism, public service performed by depleting Government apparatus. Declining public confidence because it is not uncommon in the management the government apparatus is acting something unjust so as to supply a different treatment to the community. Nepotism in the public service can provide a positive impact and negative effect. Positive impact that is for the people that have a relationship with the apparatus of Government will be easier to obtain service. While the impact of the downside for people who do not have family with government apparatus and pointed out that such nepotism had influenced the low public service. Sinombah Village have a village chief structure where the structure of the village it is alleged nepotism practiced by the village chief, so it does have an impact on the public service performed by the village chief. Nepotism which occurred in the village should not be confused with nepotism in general for the public service does not priorities the villages chief family only. In this case, it looks that the nepotism that happen not always reduce the quality of public service.en_US
