Kontribusi Anak Jalanan dalam Sosial Ekonomi Keluarga di Kelurahan Bantan Timur Kecamatan Medan Tembung Kota Medan

Abstract

Progress of city in all fields not only give a positive feel, but raises competition leads to poverty and gave a fairly complex problems, such as unemployment, slums area, the emergence of street children and others. In fulfillment needs of family socio-economic, contribution of all family members especially children is required. The streets became one of the alternatives that have been children to work in order to earn money to help improve socioeconomic life of their families. This research is classified into type of descriptive research with qualitative approach that aims to know contribution of street children in socio-economic life of the family in Bantan Timur Village District of Medan Tembung Medan city. Informants in this research is divided into two kinds, primary informants and additional informants, primary informants in this resaearch were 4 street children were classified into the category of Children on the street that operate in Bantan Timur Village District of Medan Tembung Medan city, while additional informants were 4 people from the family or parents of primary informants. Methods of data collection is conducted in-depth interviews and direct observation. Results from this research indicate that the contribution made by street children are classified into Children on the street in the family's socio-economic life in the Bantan Timur Village District of Medan Tembung Medan city. In this case the terms of its contribution in increasing revenue, health, food, education and the family housing.
