dc.description.abstractElection is held to choose representatives of government at both central and local governments, as well as to form a democratic government, stronger, and gained popular support in order to achieve national goals as mandated by the preamble to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945 Voters novice in the political category is a group for the first time voting. In the political voting, following the model of Almond and Verba typology of the political orientation is categorized into beginner, (1) cognitive orientation, ie knowledge of and confidence in the candidates, (2) affective political orientation, the feeling of the elections, the influence of friends on determination of choice, and (3) evaluative political orientation, decision and opinion of the voters against the political party/candidate of his choice. Political orientation of voters is always dynamic and will change following the existing conditions and the factors that influence it. This study is limited to whether there is an influence campaign, party identification and orientation of the candidate in determining the choice for voters in Tigabinanga Subdistrict at the election of the Governor of North Sumatra in 2013 sampling technique in this study using a sampling technique aims (purposive sampling). The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained directly from the questionnaire respondents. While the secondary data obtained documentation, demographic data, geographic conditions, election data and other data that provide information. Influence campaign against political behavior of voters can be seen that the campaign was followed by a first-time voters in Tigabinanga Subdistrict. The influence of party identification on political behavior of voters can be seen from the no voters who sympathize with the political parties. Effect of orientation on the behavior of political candidates voters can be seen from the figure the introduction of gubernatorial candidates conducted by the voters in Tigabinanga Subdistrict.en_US
