The main problem and deserves more attention than an organization is
employee performance problems. In an organization of all employees are
required to maximize performance owned because of the employee's performance
is an issue that can affect whether or not achieved the goals of the company.
Improved performance of employees of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Medan
Regional Office can be seen through a leadership style that is applied by the
employer, the motivation and the provision of fair compensation.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of leadership style on
employee performance, to analyze the influence of motivation on employee
performance, to analyze the effect of compensation to employee performance, to
analyze the influence of leadership style, motivation and compensation
simultaneously on the performance of employees of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia
Regional Office Medan.
Forms of research is associative research with quantitative approach.
The data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents in the sample.
The scale of measurement used is a Likert scale. The data obtained were
processed with descriptive analysis, quantitative analysis method consisting of
validity, reliability, multiple linear regression analysis, the normality test, the
coefficient of determination (R2), hypothesis testing.
The results of this study prove that the leadership style of positive and
significant effect on the performance of employees with t-test analysis that shows
tcount> ttable with a value 3.251> 2.028 with sig 0.003 < 0.05. Motivation
positive and significant effect on employee performance with thitung > ttable with
a value 5.771 > 2.028 with sig 0.000 < 0.05. Compensation positive but not
significant effect on employee performance with tcount < ttable with a value
0.079 < 2.028 with sig 0.937 > 0.05. And the value of R Square that is equal to
0.676. This means that 67.6% of employee performance PT. Bank Negara
Indonesia Medan Regional Office can be affected by variables of leadership style,
motivation and compensation.
