Pengaruh Pola Asuh Orang Tua Terhadap Perilaku Anak Autis di Yayasan Tali Kasih Medan

Abstract

Child with autism are children who have behavioral disorders, autistic child's behavior is not like any other normal child as a language that is not effective, can not communicate well, are not environmentally sensitive, emotionally unstable, aggressive and raging tantrums or misplaced. The behavior of child with autism can be treated with behavioral therapy known as ABA method (Analyst Behavior Analyst). Parents are the most effective in applying this therapy in child, because the parents are the people who are closest to the child. To the parents’ parenting is needed for proper healing of autistic children’s behavior, so that the child’s behavior becomes acceptable behavior in society. Parenting categorized into 3 types, namely democratic behavior, permissive and authoritarian. This research uses research methods explanative. The responden in this study were parents with child of autism in Yayasan Tali Kasih Medan. Instrument of data analysis used were questionnaires, interviews, observation for child of autism in that yayasan and tabulation data containeiden a single data table. The result showed the influence Parenting of the Parents for behavioral child of autism in that Yayasan Tali Kasih Medan, but the influence very weak. It can be seen with the interpretation of the Product Moment correlation coefisient table of the calculated correlation coefficient observased for r = 0,26 which lies between 0,20 – 0,39 which means a significant positive correlation is very weak or low. So that the nihil hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.
