| dc.description.abstract | Today Sumatran Orangutans ( Pongo abelii ) population is estimated just left around 7.000 individual that distributed largely at Gunung Leuser National Park and about 255 there found at Pusat Pengamatan Orangutan Sumateral Bohorok . Than the other site , the information about orangutans home range is too slightly . The adult male and female orangutans may difficult to estimated the orangutan home range commonly . However , the information can used to understand the orangutans spatial patterns used on an area by studied the orangutan daily activity . An adult female orangutan have a daily range by as far as 916,4 meter / day that covered area 12,4909 Ha ( Kernel Method ) or 71,549 Ha ( MCP Method ) . Whereas , an adult male orangutan have a daily range by as far as 651,28 meter / day that covered area 46,017 ( Kernel Method ) or 58,5601 Ha ( MCP Method ) . A wide home range of an orangutan enable the home range overlap with other orangutan home range .
