dc.description.abstract | Mangrove have a tendency to accumulate heavy metal elements , which exist in the ecosystem surrounds this plan life . The ability of mangrove to accumulate the heavy metal are different one each other species . One of species mangrove who can accumulate heavy metal is Avicennia marina . This study is conducted in two locations ( stations ) in Belawan Mangove Forest and Jaring Halus Mangrove Forest . The preliminary observation is aimed to analyze Cu dan Pb content in roots and leaves of A. marina and to identify the ability accumulating the heavu metal , so that can be used as accumulator . The Cu and Pb content was analyzed in Laboratorium Bapedal of North Sumatera by using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric ( AAS method ) . The result showed that Cu and content in roots of A. Marina in Belawan Mangrove Forest more high than Jaring Halus Mangrove Forest . The followed average are 12.0165 14.9900 mg / kg dan 6.1650 8.8755 dibanding 5.5305 11.7815 mg / kg dan 4.5855-5.6190 mg / kg . The abbbility of accumulating Cu was moderate 350.9766 in stasions I and 328.3591 in stasions II , if metal Pb was lower 46.8454 in in stasions I and 101.9285 in stasions II . | en_US |
