| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research is to detect wide area condition of mangrove forest in Regency of Serdang Bedagai Province North Sumatera , analyze the cause of changed forest land covering and give directive to arrangment land of mangrove . Land covering type determination using satellite image data is processed with satellite image processing method . While land covering quantity is determined through Geographical Information System . The results from research show condition of mangrove forest in Regency of Serdang Bedagai Province North Sumatera owned wide total 3860 Ha dispersed in 5 Regency , Pantai Cermin 274 Ha ( 7 % ) , Perbaungan 297 Ha ( 8 % ) , Teluk Mengkudu 908 Ha ( 24 % ) , Tanjung Beringin 780 Ha ( 20 % ) and Bandar Khalipah 1597 Ha ( 41 % ) . | en_US |
