The main objective of this research was to find out the substitution of construction board ( lumber and plywood ) . For this purpose , research on OSB , one of panel product and also a structural wood composite products , made of bamboo as a main material . This research used three species of bamboo , namely betung bamboo , hitam bamboo , and tali bamboo . The methods in this research , OSB was made in three plies , face , core , and back with weight ratio was 1 : 1 : 1. The pressure was 30 kgf / cm² at 110 ° C for 15 minutes with 3 replication For each bamboo . Formulated Urea Formaldehyda ( UF ) was used in this research . The results obtained were as follow : 1 ) Physical characteristic met JIS 5908-2003 , about 0,72 - 0,74 g / cm³ for density and 5,216,43 % for moisture content . 2 ) for mechanical characteristic met JIS A 5908-2003 , about 459,75 698,76 kgf / cm² for MOR , 1,86.10- 9,86.10 kgf / cm² for MOE , 1,83 - 6,92 kgf / cm² for Internal bond , and 147,71 - 161,91 kgf for screw holding power . Unfotunatelly , value of MOE for betung's OSB didn't require JIS A 5908- 2003 , but the others fulfill the standard .
