Indonesia has a fairly large amount of rice husk and coconut biomass and has the potential to be used as energy using the gasification method. Syngas gasification results can be applied as fuel for diesel engines with a dual fuel system. The dual fuel system can save the use of diesel fuel so that it reduces fuel costs. This study aims to obtain the best variations in air velocity and biomass on the yield of syngas as fuel for a dual fuel diesel engine (biosolar-syngas). This research method used a 2 factorial completely randomized design (RAL factorial) with 3 replications. The results showed that the use of syngas from coconut shell gasification with an air velocity of 12.5 m/s as fuel for a dual fuel diesel engine obtained optimum results which could substitute for biodiesel fuel by 74.2857%, reducing the rate of biodiesel consumption to 0.03 mL/s and increase the diesel engine power from 2.1992 kW (single fuel) to 2.7614 kW.
