Abstract

The background of researches is based on the wish to raise about the existence of street vendors JL.Dr.Mansur Padang Bulan Village District of New Medan Medan . From the observations and interviews the author there are some problems faced by the street vendors . Place of issue licenses , and evictions by the government parties concerned, but that does not make them not trade every day . Due to the trade became one of the drivers of the economy of their families and help their families prosper . This study used descriptive research methods , with a population of as many as 61 vendors . The data is taken from the existing population data collected through questionnaires , interviews and observations are supported by . Data were analyzed by descriptive research - quantitative , so that the known tendency of the phenomenon that occurs . Family income street vendors in an effort to welfare is important to not only display the meaning, purpose , and function as a textual ( written ) . Much research needs to be done for this, of course, to see the issues clearly and to look for a responsible redevenisi . Based on the research that has been done , we can conclude that traders who make a living at the foot of five roadside pavement is helpful dlam family economy . This is evident by the increase in family income , good housing , food fulfilled although simple , although in clothing that met at the time of purchase purposes only. less education because of a lack of awareness of the children , good health , recreational fulfilled even if only once a year , the savings are there for future purposes later
