Cleavage of old coconuts in the community generally uses a manual method, namely with a knife, and also by using a blade such as a grinder but is very minimal in operator safety. To overcome these limitations, a conveyor was designed for an old coconut splitter. The purpose of this study was to obtain the performance of the old coconut splitter to be more optimal and efficient by testing the optimal speed of the conveyor in delivering the old coconut to the blade. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. The conveyor speed used is 70 RPM (P1), 80 RPM (P2), and 90 RPM (P3). The parameters tested are the effective capacity of the tool, fuel requirements, and economic analysis. In this study, the best conveyor rotation speed was 80 RPM with the number of fruits that could be delivered and split as many as 1,422 pieces / hour with 3.42 L of fuel.en_US
