dc.description.abstract | Higher order thinking skills are thinking skills that include analyzing, evaluating, and creating. School climate is the quality and character of school life and the quality of relationships between school members, namely students, teachers, and school staff. The purpose of this study was to see the influence of school climate on higher order thinking skills in terms of reading literacy in students in Indonesia. This study uses PISA 2018 secondary data. The subjects in this study are Indonesian students who are 15 years old and currently attending junior and senior high school education. Subjects in this study amounted to 12.098 students. This study uses quantitative methods. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression test. Through data analysis, it was found that the school climate did not have a significant role in higher order thinking skills simultaneously. However, teacher enthusiasm (one of school climate‟s dimension) has a significant role in higher order thinking skills partially. The results of this study indicate that there is no simultaneous role of school climate on higher order thinking skills in students in Indonesia, but the dimension of teacher enthusiasm has negative role of 0,1% on higher order thinking skills | en_US |
