Objective : To determine type of urinary incotinence in women with pelvic
organ prolapsed in H. Adam Malik Hospital.
Material and Methods:
This study is a descriptive study in 31 samples with pelvic organ prolapse.
Samples were obtained using consecutive samplirtg_ technique. All
samples were an enterviewed, and then examined using Pelvic Organ
Pre>l~pse Qu~ntification to kne>w the gracie of the prolapse, measurement
of residual urine, cough test (stres tes), urinalisys and bladder diary
recording were performed to investigate presence of urinary incontinence
and it type. Datas obtained were then analitic and tabula1ed and reported
in form of tables and narration.
Result:
Urinary incontinence in women with mild grade pelvic organ prolapse
(grade 1 to 2) is 54,55 % and in severe grade pelvic·organ prolapse (grade
3 to 4) is 45,45 %. In women with pelvic organ prolapse with urineary
incontinence is 35,48 % that consists 72, 73 % of urinary incontinence
stress, 9,09 % of overreactive bladder and 18, 18 % of incontinence
overflow. Mixed incontinence in pelvic organ prolapse was not found.
Conclusions :
Was found type of urinary incontinence in women with pelvic organ
prolapse that consists 72,73 % of stress incontinence type, .9,09 % of
overactive bladder, and 18, 18 % of overflow incontinence type.
