Peran Petani Perempuan terhadap Sosial Ekonomi Keluarga di Desa Meranti Kecamatan Bila Hulu Kabupaten Labuhan Batu

Abstract

In the study conducted, the author highlights the role of farmers in relation to socioeconomic families tn the village Meranti Bila Hulu Labuhan Batu District, namely by looking at the role of woman to the economy and the social life of family farmers. In rular communities the women are required to live independently and work because of economic demands. In terms of employment, women are more plays than men both in terms of domestic affairs as well as processing of agricultural land. The purpose of this study was to determine how the role of women farmers to the socioeconomic families in the village of Meranti Bila Hulu Labuhan Batu District. To obtain data or responses from job-related female farmers and their socio-economic role of the family directly, the author falls spaciousness conduct research and distribute angket (Questionnaires) and interviews to a number of woman farmers in the village of Meranti Bila Hulu Labuhan Batu District. The population of this study were woman farmers who cultivate their own farms with total area of about 1 Ha and 55 gained population so that the population sampled. To analyze the data we used a qualitative data analysis techniques. Based of the result of research and analysis concluded that women farmers have a big role in both social and economic life of the family. This is evident from their ability to meet daily needs and work as farmers income and the respondent’s involvement and role in social life.
