    Abstract
    Children are a gift of trust and Almighty God, who in his inherent dignity and worth as human beings, children are also the successor to the ideals of the struggle of a nation that has a strategic role, and has special traits and characteristics that are expected to ensure the continued existence of the nation the future. Conditions of Employment Act No. 25, 1997 Article 1 Paragraph 20 states that the definition of a child is a male or female aged less than 15 years. The problem of child worker is a problem that is very complex because it involves various aspects of both socio-cultural and economic, as well as influenced by micro and macro aspects. This study aims to determine the contribution of child worker to the family social economic in Pasar V Kebun Kelapa Desa Amal Bakti, Kecamatan Beringin, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. In collecting the data used in-depth interviews and observation techniques using individual experiences (life story) to reveal the life history of a family of four children employed. The method used in this study is a qualitative analysis. Based on observations, the conditions of poverty and the work of parents with low incomes who make children work as laborers in a brick factory to support their families. From the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that the working children contribute to the family economy in the aspects of health, food, income, housing and education
