| dc.description.abstract | The Gunung Leuser National Park is a protected forest area and have important function in taking care of ekosistem and biodiversity . This area have the variety of type of fauna and flora and have the hilly forest condition and have ramp > 40 % . Application of Geographic Information System is expected can improve continuation of management of forest area in this case research is to seenly relation of height and ramp with the closeness vegetation by using Digital Elevation Model ( DEM ) in area of forest Tangkahan , Cinta Raja , Sei Lepan and Area of Ekosistem Leuser . From processing data result is can obtained that topography predominating in research region is area which be at height 300 - 700 m broadly is 22.343,725 ha , for the inclination of farm most its topography region very steep with the inclination gratuity > 40 % and broadly is 41.885,443 ha , and assess the index vegetation predominating in research region is vegetation indeks that class 0,537 -0,646 by vegetation close for the width of 39.328,19 ha .
