Potensi Limbah Pemanenan Kayu di Lokasi Penebangan IUPHHK-Ha PT. Andalas Merapi Timber

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know potency of logging waste , exploitation factor , and optimalization of logging waste based log dimention . This research was done in IUPHHK - HA PT . AMT Kecamatan Sangir , Kabupaten Solok Selatan , Provinci Sumatera Barat during 1 month in March 2009. Result of research show that the level of exploitation factor is 0,74 . Logging waste precentage biggest from meranti sepat ( Shorea palembanica ) is 21,05 % and smallest percentage that is from meranti kulit buaya ( Shorea platycladus ) is 8,84 % . Logging waste percentage that is 45 % from overall of perception to waste from 120 bar , there are 54 bar which have waste and 66 bar do not have waste . Logging waste cause factor consist of natural handicap is 70,61 % , mechanical handicap is 11,88 % , and which caused by natural factor in the from of ramp that is 17,51 % .
