Proses Pengunggahan Bahan Repository di Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan (Stip-Ap)

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the Repository Service and identify the obstacles encountered by the Library of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan (STIP-AP) /Plantation Agribusiness of Agricultural Science College. STIP-AP is one of the colleges developing information technology whose document management is saved in the repository. Data are collected using qualitative methods through observation in STIP-AP Library, interviews with the Head of STIP-AP Library, and documentation conducted in STIP-AP Library. This paper explains how the process of repository material in STIP-AP Library starting from uploading non-digital files until they become repository collections. The process of repository materials upload includes 1) library repository service, 2) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which involves three stages performed by admin during repository data input, namely scanning, editing, and loading, 3) file input program, and 4) Uploading the library materials either in the form of journals, student’s thesis or articles. The obstacles encountered during the process of repository activities are network problems and power outages. The Open Access Repository of STIP-AP Library provides easy access to relevant information sources and becomes a storage the research article collection produced by academicians in the form of electronic files.
