Layanan Koleksi Digital Pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the role, function, and effectivity of digital collection services in the Library and Archive Agency (Disperpusip) of North Sumatera Province. The digital collection services in the Disperpusip of North Sumatera Province is a service provided to spread knowledge and information digitally and ease visitors in searching for references. Data are collected qualitatively through observation in Disperpusip of North Sumatera Province, interviews with the Head of the sub-division of Information Technology, and documentation conducted in Disperpusip of North Sumatera Province. The result indicates that digital collection services in Disperpusip of North Sumatera Province are namely I-pusda and digital deposit collection. I-pusda is an application used by Disperpusip of North Sumatera Province to facilitate the digital collection services whom consist of various kinds of disciplines. Digital deposit collection consists of more than 700 titles provided through OPAC and in the form of CD-ROM.
