Pengaruh Pelaksanaan Program Penyuluhan terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Remaja tentang Kesehatan Reproduksi di SMU Al-Azhar dan SMU Syafiatul Medan Tahun 2006

Abstract

The currency of infonnation transmission in the present globalization era embles adolescents to fild an easiness in searching out the rcquired inforrnation related to physical and psychological changes rhat they experienced. The school as a secor@ry domain following tlrc fanily revels an effective place for regoductive health education for the adolescents. Tlrc present shdy used a quasi experiment approach with non-randomized confiol group desrgn with pre-test and post-test for 49 students of the Syafiatul and 174 strdents of Al Azhar private SHS in Medan. It intents to fird the efrect of health promotion on knowledge and attitude ofthe adolescents for reproductive health at the two private schools. The data analysis was carried out analytically using an Indepenent Sample T-test Based on the study, rt has been known that the reprodrrctive heallh promotion has an cffect on thc tnowledge of the studenb at the fuo schools, AI-Azhar and Syafiatul oMedan. Statistically, thoe was a difference in knowledge level with the t{ount as of 6.061 ard sig (p) of 0.fin- The reprodudive health promotion has an effect on the attitude of the sndents at the same schools. Statistically, there was a difference in attitude with the t-cormt of4.679 and sig of 0.000. It is expected tlat the Municipal Health Deparunent of Medan more improve the reproductive health promotion for the students of any SHS in Medan by making in pnority the materials relatd directly 1o the reprodrrctive health for adolescents. Any SHS in Medan is expocted also to support the rep,roductive health promotion by providing any facility required for implementation of the proigram. The sh&na of SHS in Medan are all expected to attend arry reproductive heafth promotion implemented in their schools ro more improve their rm&rstamting and comprehension of the lrcalth promotion. The us€d method of reproductive health promotion should be adjustrd to the condition and development stage of adolescents that can attract and motivate them to attend it.
