| dc.description.abstract | Up to now, Indonesia stiil faces the problem of nunber and quality of hwnon
resources with the annually high birth rate. A direct attempt to minimize the birth
r*e is through the implementation of Fauily Planning Program. Altough Planning
Progrom is stated to hove been adequaely successful, there me still mafiy constroints
in its implemantion and one of them is that many couples in productive age have not
been the new Famiy Planning acceptors that coverage of the new Family Plutning
acceptors is not achieved There te many fuctors intfuencing the achievement of the
new Family Planning acceptor cwerage such os the development of Family Planning
field't+,orkcrs (educatio4 training and supemision) and the avaibility of puskesmas
(Community Health Center) facilities and infrastructure whichplays an important
role in the achievement ofnew Family Planning acceptor coverage
The purpose of lhis observasional study with cross-sectional design conducled in
Dairi District from September to October 2012 was to analyze the influence of
Family Planning field workers (education, fiaining, and supelvision) and Family
Planning facilities and infrastructure on the coverage of new Family Plonning
acceptors in Dairi District in 2012. The population of this sUdy was Mother and
Child Health/ Family Planning coordinators at 18 Pwkesmas in Dairi Districl an of
all them were selected to be the samples for this study, The data obtained were
analyzed through ChiSqwe and multiple logistic regression test.
The resuh of lhis study showed the influence development (p:0,006),
development the training indicators (p:0,035), and indicators of facilities is
Puskzsmas facilities (p:0.012) on the coverage of new Family Planning acceptors.
Develompment hod on inJluence ol 88.9% on the coverage of net Family Planning
acceptots in Dairi District.
The manage of (PPAKB) Pemberdayaan Perempua4 Aruk dan Keluarga
Berencana) is suggested to improve the detelopment and supervision for Family
Planning Jield workers to obtain a coordination system and to coordinate with'all of
