gasoline becomes increas[ng, along with the increasing number of motor vehicles.
The peopte who take high risk of being exposed to lead (Pb) are the emplq)ees of
SPBU (gas station) in Medan.
ihe objective of the research wds to find out the inJluence of the
characteristics and behavior on lead (Pb) conlent in the blood of SPBU employees in
Medan, in 2014
The research used cross sectiondl design. The population and the samples
were 32 employees who workcd for more than five years at SPBU, Medan, taken by
using cluster sampling technique. The dala were processed statislically by using
mult iple logistic r egres s ion tesl s.
The result of the research showed that there was conelation of smoking habit
dnd the length of .tervice with lead (Pb) content in the blood of the SPBU employees
in Medan, in 2014. Smoking habit had the most doninant influence on the lead (Pb)
content in the blood of the SPBLI employees in Medan, in 2014
It is recomended that SPBIJ employees reduce their smoking habit, und the
emplol,ess w'ith the length of semice should examine their health reg arly' The
