Pengaruh Pola Pemberian Asi dan MPASI serta Pengetahuan Ibu terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan Bayi Umur 6-12 Bulan di Desa Tanjung Morawa B Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang Tahun 2016

Abstract

The period of 6-12 month-old babies is the critical period of growth and development. It cannot be repeated as the golden period In this periol giving good nutrition like breastfeetling exclusNely, appruptiate and adequate weaning food, and mother's good knowledge are needed to detect, to intervene and to stimulate any problems which occur in their babies'growth and development. There are 20% of malnutrition ond 14.8% of lag of development at Tanltmg Morawa B Wllage. T'he obiect*e of the research was to find out the idluence of the pattern in breassbeding arul weaning food and also mother's lvwutledge on babies' growth and development at Tanjung Morawa B Village, Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2016. The research used cross sectiorral design, the samples were 100 6-12 month-old babies. The data were gathered by irrterviews, observation and questionnaires and analyzed by using chi-square te\t and nultiPle logistic regression analysis. The result of the research showed that variables which had the Dtost dominant influence on babies' growth was frequency of feeding veaning food (fr : 5,8j4), while the variables which had the most dominant influence on babies' development was mother's knowledge (fl:9,814). It is recommended that, health care pro'viders collaborating withfomilies and especially mother through counseling. Mother motivates herself to breasfeed etclusively and increase her btowledge of babies' growth and development through media such as books, magazines, and internet
