A Description Of Main Characters In ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Series

Abstract

The aim of this study is explaining the content of the film using data collected from the author's observations while watching the film. The author uses descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the study found that the confrontation and description of the characteristics of each character was in accordance with the expectations and the physical description of the actor who displayed it. Can be concluded that Jenny Han's To All the Boys I've Loved Before depicts romantic love between two characters, Lara Jean and Peter because all aspects of romantic love are present in their relationship. The four elements of love contained in the novel are caring, responsibility, respect, and knowledge. The main aspects of the film contributing to the development of their relationship are the intimacy, passion, and short-term decisions in which romantic love is generated.
