Gambaran No-Mobile Phone Phobia (Nomophobia) Pada Mahasiswa Saat Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Nomophobia is the emergence of anxiety followed by feelings of discomfort and fear not to being able to relate to the device in students age 18 – 25 years who actively spend time using the device more than 3 hours a day and actively use the internet. This study aims to see how the description of Nomophobia in students during the Covid-19 Pandemic with 250 research subjects. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method by using a Likert scale which is based on the dimensions of Nomophobia proposed by Yildirim and Correia (2015) with 20 items. The results of the study show that the overview of Nomophobia from 250 students during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely the subjects classified as mild as many as 7 people (2.8%), which were classified as moderate as many as 119 people (47.6%), and those classified as severe as many as 124 people (49.6%). So it can be concluded that nomophobia in most students during the Covid-19 pandemic is quite severe.
