| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the implementation of supervision in a hospital is to direct and to guide nurse practitioners to provide qualified nursing care for patients. Good supervision can improve the implementation of documenting nursing care. As professionals, nurses take the responsibility for documenting their activities optimally. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of the implementation of ward heads' supervision on documenting nursing care by nurses at the private hospitals in Medan. The research used quantitative correlation method with cross sectional design. The samples were 166 nurse practitioners in the Inpatient Wards, taken by using convenient sampling technique. The data were gathered by using questionnaires on ward heads' supervision and documenting nursing care and analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The result of the research obtained P values 0.00 <0.05 which suggests that there is significant influence between the supervision of head room with nursing care documentation performed by nurse with value r = 0. 710, indicating the strength of the effect of at category "Strong", and it has the effect of positive which indicates that the better supervision of head room so will high quality implementation of nursing care documentation were done by nurses. The result of this research was expected to be able to become an input in increasing the implementation of ward heads' good supervision, especially the function of restorative supervision, and increasing the quality of documenting nursing care in the process of nursing evaluation. | en_US |
