    Abstract
Indonesia ranks 74th out of 79th countries in the PISA survey conducted in 2018. Through the PISA results, it can be seen about higher order thinking skills. Higher order thinking skills is a thinking process that focuses on high-level abilities and skills to achieve certain goals. One of the factors that influence higher order thinking skills is psychological characteristic which refers to the individual‟s personality trait. Personality trait has a significant influence on individual subjective well-being. Subjective well-being is a description of evaluation of a person‟s life or emotional experience. This study examines the correlation between subjective well-being and higher order thinking skills on students in Indonesia. This study has a hypothesis that subjective well-being will be correlated with higher order thinking skills. This research data is secondary data obtained from the official OECD website. The subjects of this study were Indonesian students who took part in PISA in 2018, as many as 12,098 students. The research data was tested with the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. Based on the analysis that has been done, it is found that r = 0.01 with a significance of p = 0.249, which means p> 0.05. These results indicate that there is no correlation between subjective well-being and higher order thinking skills on students in Indonesia.
