Pengaruh Stres, Dukungan Keluarga dan Manajemen Diri terhadap Komplikasi Ulkus Kaki Diabetik pada Penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus Type 2 are risky to have some complication that they tend wich have a psychological problem, such as stress which can influence their abilities to manage themselves that stress management family support are needed to improve self management to prevent some complication related to diabetes and maintainance their life quality. The objectivitas of research are to find out the influences of stress, family support and self management toward complication of diabetic foot ulcer of sufferers of DM type 2. The research is a quantitative with a retrospective case controlled design carried out in RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan. The sample Is 80 sufferers ( 40 case and 40 controled) of DM type 2 with or without any complication of diabetic foot ulcers determined by purposive sampling and questionnaires as the research instrumens. The research result show there are influences of stress, family support, and self management towards the complication of diabetic foot ulcer of sufferers of DM type 2 ( p value: < 0.05). The most influential variables that cause the complication of diabetic foot ulcer of sufferers of DM type 2 is high stres with OR 7.575, CI 95% ( 2.590-22 151). Hopefully with this research nurses should continue to provide support to patients to avoid stress conditions , maintain stable blood sugar levels , improve management themselves , so avoid the complications of diabetic foot ulcers.
