Pengaruh Faktor Individu Perawat dan Organisasi terhadap Pelaksanaan Early Warning Score di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan

Abstract

The most crucial early solution for patient health problems is the Early Warning Score (henceforth referred to as EWS). The EWS implementation at RSUP H Adam Malik Medan inpatient ward is still low due to individual and organizational factors. The objective of this research is to analyze effects of individual factors (knowledge, experience, and motivation) and organizational factors (culture. organization, environment, and power) on the implementation of EWS in the inpatient wards at H. Adam Malik Hospital, Medan. This research, which employs an analytical survey and cross-sectional opproach includes 248 nurses, in the inpatient wards at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan as the population and selects 98 nurses of the population as the samples Primary and secondary data ore gathered and then analyzed using the statistical Multiple Logistic Regression test with confidence level at 95%. The research finds that the individual factors (knowledge and experience) and the organizational factors (environment organization, and power) affect the EWS implementation in the impatient wards or H. Adam Malik Hospital. Medan. On the other hand the individual factor (motivation) and the organizational factors culture and organization) do not. In addition, The most dominant variable affecting the EWS implementation in the inpatient wards at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan is knowledge, It is recommended that the management of H Adam Malik Hospital Medan pay more attention to environment: organization and power, and evaluate individual factors of nurses to maintain or to increase their knowledge for the improvement of the EWS implementation by learning from experience and thinking positively about patient safety. It is critical to understand that working performance requires knowledge and experience.
