Hubungan Peran Orang Tua, Teman Sebaya dan Media dengan Perilaku Seks Remaja di SMA Negeri 1 Meulaboh Aceh Barat Tahun 2014

Abstract

A surrey conducted by BKKBN (2011) stated that 63 million teenagers, who were l0 to 24 years old, had committed pre-marriage sexual intercourse in Indonesia. There were 2.6 million teenagers who had abortions per year. l5o% to 50o% of maternity death rate was caused by unsafe abortion committed by teenagers. The objective of the researchwas tofind out the correlation of parents'role, peers, ond media with teenagers' sexual behavior at SMA Negeri l, Meulaboh, West Aceh, in 2014. The research was an explanatory survey which was aimed to explain the causal correlation amlt was conducted among the variables. It was conducted at SMU Negeri l, Meulaboh, West Aceh District. The populationwas 187 teenagers, and all of them were used as the samples, using total sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using inivatriate analysis, bivatriate analysis with chi square test, and multivatrtate analysis with multiple logistic regression tests. The result of the resemch showed thatL}3 respondents (55.19/0) stated that parents' role was bad, 131 respondents (70.1o/o) statedthat peers were bad, and 107 respondents (57.2%0) stated that media was good. There was the correlation of parents' role (p : 0.015), peers (p < 0.001), and media (p < 0.001) with teenagers' sexual behavior. The result of statistic analysis showed that the Prevalence Ratio of porents'role was 1.262 times of riskfactorfor the incidence of teenagers'sexual behavior. The Prevalence Ratio of peers was 2.569 times of the risk factor for the incidence of teenagers' sexual behavior. The Prevalence Ratio of media was 1.262 times of riskfactorfor the incidence of teenagers'sexual behovior. The variable of parents'role had the most dominant influence ot P : 1771. It is recommended that the Principal of SMA Negeri l, Meulaboh, West Aceh District, design a teaching progrom about the importance of reproduction health science in teenagers by inviting competent teachers to provide teaching and counseling about reproduction health science for teenagers. The information should be given according to the teenagers' age so that they will understand sexual problems and how to cope with them
