Rhodamin B could destroyed hepatocyte cells which could increased blood ALT
and AST, which could indicated the liver cells destruction. The purpose of this research is
to study the benefit of honey improving ALT and AST on hepatocite cells, macroscopicly
and histopathological of the liyer male mice (Mus musculus L.) which administated of
Rhodamin B and to stu$t the ability of hepatosites to bnprove themselves after rhodamin
B and honey terminated-
This study was the laboratoric experimental research by complete random design.
The subjects were male mice Mus musculus L Strain DD Webster of 8-tl week, with 25-
40 grams. Obtained from the Faculty of mathemotics and natural science USU. Subjects
were divided into 4 groups: control group (P0), Rhodamin B group 2% (Pl), Honey
0.08ng/20 grams mice/day group (P2), and Rhodamin B 2?6 and honey 0.08mg/20 gram
mice/day group (P3). Then performed tests of normality and homogeneily of data. when
the data distributed normally and homogeneous then performed ANOVA test, if (p <0.05)
followed by a test post hock analysis Benferroni lewl of 5o%, if not normally distributed
data and is not homogeneous the Mann Whitney test.
This results had obtained is performed increasing of ALT and AST were
signiJicantly different from group Pl with P0, P2, PlR, P2R b<0.05) and did not
significantly dffirent with the group P3, PL(R), P3(R) (p>0.05). Degrees of hepatic
necrosis and congestion on group Pl was significantly increased compared with P0, P2,
PO(R) and P2(R) (p<0.05) and did not signilicantly dffirent with the Pi, PI(R), P3(R)
(Ir>0.05). The macroscopic of the liver showed signiJicantly increased in the Pl
compared with P0, P2, P0(R) (p<0.05) and did not significantly differerent u,ith the P3 ),
P1(R), Ps(R) (p>0,0s).
In this study showed that administration of honey could not improve the levels of
ALT and AST as well as abnormal changed macroscopicly and histopathological of
male mice liver had been administrated Rhodamin B
