dc.description.abstractThe polyethylene composites with oil palm empty bunches fiber fillers prepared using reflux technique in xylene. The variation of fiber content is 10%. 20%. 30%, 40% dan 50% w/w. Composites film were result using hot press technique. The characterisation are mechanical strength test. Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), Scanning Electrone Microscopy (SEM), and Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy. It was report that the tensile strength increase with presence of oil palm empty bunches fiber as filler compared polyethylene matrix 100%. The increase of fiber content decreased the tensile strength but, in fiber content 50% it was higher than pure polyethylene matrix. ln the present Maleic Anhydride and Benzoil Peroxide increase the tensile strength of composites result. The Maleic Anhydride is coupling agent for Polyethylene matrix and fiber filler binding.en_US
