The human resources very important asset of organization and give large
contribution to organization because employs perform and behave on achieving
organization's goal. The organization's goal obtained to pass high Organizational
Citizenship Behavior that influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
The problems of this research are (1) What is the factors to determinant in job
satisfaction at Politeknik Negeri Medan (2) What is the factors to determinant in
organizational commitment at Politeknik Negeri Medan Politeknik Negeri Medan. (3)
How far the influence of job satisfaction and organizational commitment influence
towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Politeknik Negeri Medan?.
This research used human resource management theory related to job
satisfaction, organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
This research used survey approach. The ldnd of this research are quantitative
descriptive and explanatory descriptive.
The total· sample used 59 employs in administration department Politeknik
Negeri Medan with proportionate random sampling method was used at this research.
First and second hypothesis test was tested by using confirmatory factor analysis,
while for third hypothesis was tested by using multiple linier regression.
Result of this research for first hypothesis is showing the factors to compose
job satisfaction are: wages, co-worker and work conditional. The second hypothesis is
showing the factors to compose organizational commitment are: Affective commitment,
Continuance commitmeni. Result test of third. hypothesis is showing the total
determination coefficient (R:) is 40,4% and using Confidential Interval 95%,
simultaneously job satisfaction and organizational commitment have significant
influence towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Politeknik Negeri Medan,
while partially organizational commitment influence Organizational Citizenship
Behavior at Politeknik Negeri Medan and job satisfaction have significant influence
towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Politeknik Negeri Medan.
The conclusion and overall of this research is to indicate that job satisfaction
which consists of work wages , co-worker and work conditional and organizational
commitment which consists of Affective commitment, Normative commitment have
significant influence to Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Politeknik Negeri
Medan
