dc.description.abstractInstitut Teknologi Manajemen Internasional (ITMI) as one of the private universities must be able to improve the committment of lecturers' organization and the performance of the lecturers to be able to create competent and competitive human resources. The purpose of this descriptive quantitative explanatory study was to find out and analyze the influence of work satisfaction and compensation on the committment of lecturer's organization and its impact to the performance of ITMI Medan. The theoryused in this study was the theory of human resources management related to work satisfaction, compensation, committment of lecturers' organization and the performance of the lecturers The population of this study was all of the 42 lecturers of ITMI Medan and the samples for this study were relected through saturated sampling technique The data obtained were analyzed through path analysis The result of this study showed that simultaneously and partially work satisfaction and compensation had a positif and significant influence on the performance of lecturers and the value of determination coefficient was 89 8% Partially, the result of this study showed that the committment of lecturers organization had a positive and significant influence on the performance of lecturers and the value of determination coefficient was 85.5% Direct result of study showed that work satisfaction and compensation had a positive and significant influence on the performance of lecturers and the vahie of determination coefficient was 87.8% Indirect result of study showed that work satisfaction and compensation through the committment of lecturers' organization had a positive and significant influence on the performance of lecturers and the vahie of determination coefficient was 89 2% The conclusion in that the result of this study can be recommended to be an input for ITMI Medanen_US
