Mental health is an important issue that needs attention. One of the things that can be done to maintain mental health is to increase happiness. Gratitude can be one way to increase happiness. This study aims to see the effect of increasing gratitude on increasing happiness in students. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method using a time series design. The subjects of this study were four students according to the characteristics of the population assigned to do Gratitude Journaling for 21 days. The manipulation check procedure shows evidence that doing Gratitude Journaling can increase gratitude scores. The data analysis method used the non-parametric Friedman test which obtained a 2 value of 7.80 with df = 3, and a significance of value = 0.05. With value = 0.05, the results of the study indicate that there is an effect of increasing gratitude facilitated by Gratitude Journaling on increasing student happiness. This study produces empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of Gratitude Journaling on increasing student happiness. Gratitude Journaling is suggested to be used as a non-clinical intervention that can be done by students to increase happiness
