dc.description.abstractStress on students is a situation that prevents students from achieving academic achievement. Procurement of measurement tools is important to identify the stress experienced by students. Currently, measuring instruments in Indonesia that function to measure stress in students still need development due to cultural differences. This study aims to develop a stress scale on students. The researcher and the team developed a scale design with 90 test items which were distributed to 543 active undergraduate students at the University of North Sumatra. The researcher evaluates the content validation and internal structure. Content validation involved 8 expert panels with categorization of high validity (16 items), medium (70 items) and low (4 items). The validity of the internal structure has a fit model with a CFI value of 0.95, a TLI of 0.92, an RMSEA of 0.045, and the infit means-square and outfit means-square values which are in the range of 0.5 < MNSQ < 1.5.en_US
