Karakteristik Iklim dan Sifat Fisika Tanah pada Lahan Kemenyan di Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan

Abstract

Kemenyan is a forest plant that has many uses and benefits for the community. To maximize the cultivation of kemenyan plants, it is necessary to know the characteristics of the land. This research was conducted to analyze the climate and soil physical properties as well as to map the climate characteristics and soil physical properties on incense fields in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling method and data analysis of temperature, humidity, rainfall, wet and dry months, soil texture, bulk density, soil porosity, soil permeability and basic data of geographic information systems. Based on the results of the analysis on land units, the obtained temperature with medium criteria, humidity with high criteria, rainfall with moderate criteria. While the characteristics on soil physical properties includes, soil texture with sandy loam criteria, bulk density with soil criteria organic matter, porosity with very porous criteria, and permeability with moderate criteria.
