dc.description.abstractFuture anxiety is an attitude towards the future experienced by individuals that leads to problems in determining their careers and various life choices. High school students who are in the range of transition from adolescence to early adulthood tend to experience anxiety caused by feelings of helplessness. anxiety and fear is stronger than hope or hope. One method that can reduce future anxiety is expressive writing. This study aims to see the effect of expressive writing on the decrease in future anxiety experienced by high school students. This study used an experimental pretest-posttest group design. The participants of this study were 10 people who were experiencing future anxiety. Expressive writing is carried out for 4 days (30 minutes/session). Data processing using the Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon tests with the help of JASP tools. Based on the analysis showed a significant result of p = 0.008 (p <0.005) meaning that there was an effect of expressive writing on future anxiety in high school students. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that students can apply and apply expressive writing as a decrease in future anxiety.en_US
